FIA Day was celebrated by MITAA and MIT on 5th April 2024
The FIA Day function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Anna University Prof. Velraj with Mr. Suresh Raman – V.P. & Regional Head, TCS as the Chief Guest
Senthilnathan, President-MITAA welcomed the gathering after the invocation.
Dean of MIT, K Ravichandran presented the annual report detailing the activities of the Institute, achievements by the students in various fields
J Prakash, Registrar-Anna University and Smt. Prema Srinivasan from the Founder’s Family extended their feilicitations during their address to the gathering.
Senthamil Arasu, Patron-MITAA, introduced the Outstanding Alumnus Awardee and read out the citation
N Ramachandran of 22nd Batch Electronics, M.D. – MEL Systems & Services Ltd was honoured with the Outstanding Alumnus Award. Accepting the award and in his thanks giving speech, Mr. Ramachandran gave Rajam Memorial Endowment Lecture
Karthikeyan Nagarajan, EC Member-MITAA, , introduced the Distinguished Alumnus Awardee and read out the citation
Subsequently, Saraswathy Venkatasamy, CEO – Pointel Solutions, 39th Batch Automobile Alumna was honored with the Distinguished Alumna Award
Anbuselvan – V.P., MITAA introduced the Life Time Achievement Awardee Mr. CVS Gopalan, Advisor-MITAA. All the dignitaries present at the event felicitated and honored Mr. CVS Gopalan with the Award
Dr. Prof R Velraj, VC-Anna Uvy made a special address stressing on the importance of Alumni contribution to the alma mater in its growth
Mr. Suresh Raman, the Chief Guest for the event commended the contributions of MIT, Anna University to Nation Building and extended his support for various initiatives taken up by MITAA
Mr. Shaji Vinod presented the nominees for the Best Outgoing Student Awards (sponsored by our Alumnus PMS Prasad, Exec Director- Reliance Industries Ltd) and announced the names of the winners.
Mr. P Thyagarajan handed over books to the Library, on behalf of MITAA Alumni who contribute regularly for the Book Bank project.
The day’s event was concluded with formal Vote of Thanks by T Sankar, Secretary-MITAA
