Mr. S. Saravanan – Roll No: 20073030, Aero (2011)

• Hailing  from an Agricultural family of Mylambadi village in Erode district,  Saravanan received Chief Minister Scholarship for school and college education
• B.Tech in 2011 ,  M.A from JNU
• Won best Outgoing student  of MIT award for Community Service
• Won  Anna University VC award for Social Service
• Worked as Systems Engineer in Airbus and  Rolls Royce Engines Project of TCS before clearing UPSC Civil Services Exam-2014 in First attempt .
• Worked as Assistant Commissioner, Indian Revenue Service Customs and Central Service (now renamed as IRS GST service)
• Subsequently, Saravanan joined IAS in 2016, in Tamil Nadu Cadre
• Special interest in Tamil Literature.  Took the CSE mains and personality test in Tamil.
• He worked as Assistant Collector in Thoothukudi District, TN between 2017 and 2018
• Worked as Assistant Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, New Delhi for 3 months before moving into Kancheepuram as Sub Collector  from Oct-2018  for 2 years
• Saravanan is currently posted as Joint Commissioner, State Taxes( GST), Erode, TN.
