FIA Day was celebrated by MITAA & MIT on 5th April 2013

  • Mr R Balaji, President – MITAA gave the welcome address in which the VC, Dean were present along with Mr. N Lakshminarayanan, Vice Chairman – CTS
  • After the Presidential address by the VC, Dr. P Kaliraj, Dean Dr. S Thamarai Selvi presented the annual report on MIT and the activities during the academic year 2012-2013.
  • Mr. K. Thiagarajan of 23rd batch, GASCO-Abu Dhabi was honoured as the Outstanding Alumnus. He gave a very passionate talk about the Institute and the relations he continues to have with all the alumni
  • Dr. K. Sivam of 29th batch Project Director PSLV was honoured as the Distinguished Alumnus. He gave an update on the space activities of ISRO
  • Mr. N. Lakshmi Narayanan Vice Chairman CTS delivered the keynote address. CTS has a special relation with MIT and they continue to sponsor scholarships
  • V. Balasubramanianof Founder family while extending his felicitations, spoke on the need for the skills development
  • Past President  N. Ramachandran, Patron Mr. T.M. Jawaharlal, Vice President Mr. R. Madhavanspoke on the occasion
  • The event got concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Secretary  V. Mathiyazhagan
  • All the retiring staff of the institute and the top ranking students from all departments were honoured
